Menka Shah serves as Partner of Investment Funds for Health In Africa (IFHA). Menka is a seasoned professional with an expansive career in emerging market investing, healthcare strategy and operations, corporate finance and international tax advisory across Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. With over 18 years of experience, Menka has established herself as a strategic leader in identifying and operationalizing high-potential investments that drive sustainable growth and impact in the African healthcare sector. Menka is an active member of various advisory boards where she shares insights and contributes to shaping the future of healthcare and private equity in the region.

Prior to joining IFHA, Menka worked for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Kenya on the Health and Education Investment Team, leading the investment process and portfolio management for IFC’s investments in healthcare and education companies across Sub- Sharan Africa. Preceding this, Menka headed up the East African Energy, Education and Water and Sanitation portfolios at the Acumen Fund, an impact investing fund, where she was responsible for business development, investing and portfolio management activities.

Menka joined Acumen Fund from Ernst and Young LLP in the UK where she worked across various departments in the corporate tax team. Menka studied Economics at the University of Cambridge and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland (ICAS).
