Felix Claus is an Investment Manager at IFHA and represents the fund on the supervisory boards of portfolio companies Labotec and C-Care International (Alternate Director). He is further leading the digitalization of internal fund processes and passionate about any new technologies that make life easier. Felix has been with the broader IFHA family since 2015, when he started as a Credit and Business Analyst in Nairobi at Medical Credit Fund. During that time, he co-managed the product launch of CarePay’s mobile loan product Cash Advance, which has grown to provide over 5,000 unique loans to Kenyan healthcare providers. In 2016, Felix joined IFHA as an Investment Analyst & ESD Manager and worked together with IFHA’s partners on CarePay’s EUR 39m Series A round. After the financing round closed in 2019, Felix spent time at CarePay on Special Projects and Corporate Finance. There he internally founded 2 products including carepay.social, a social impact-as-as-service product offered to global employers. Felix sits on the board of non-profit CarePay Foundation, which was founded to protect the social impact mission of carepay.social.
Felix holds a Master of Science in Corporate Finance from Bayes Business School and has been passionate about impact investing since discovering the field in his Bachelor Thesis titled “Methods to Sustain and Maximize Social Impact Creation in the Post-Investment Exit Phase”.
