Esther joined the Investment Funds for Health in Africa (IFHA) team in May 2022 as an Investment Analyst and ESD Manager, based out of the Nairobi office.
Prior to joining IFHA, Esther worked at Horizon Africa Capital Limited in Kenya as an Investment Banking Associate, executing financial and transaction advisory mandates within the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Corporate Finance and Advisory departments for companies in East Africa. In this position, she actively participated in and contributed to several high profile and mid-range debt raising and M&A transactions achieving a successful close. Some of the sectors she focused on include agribusiness, manufacturing, financial services, real estate, hospitality, technology and digital service providers, among others. She has also previously worked at KPMG East Africa as an intern in the Markets Department.
Esther holds a Bsc. Financial Engineering degree from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and is a CFA candidate.
