Shayne Aman Premji - Investment Officer
Shayne Aman Premji serves as an Investment Officer for IFHA in Nairobi, Kenya. Shayne is an investment professional with more than 8 years of experience in corporate finance in Africa, India and Canada.
Prior to joining IFHA, Shayne worked for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Nairobi. In this role, Shayne led IFC’s first-ever corporate finance advisory project in Africa, advising an international health and emergency company on its expansion to Sub-Saharan Africa; implemented IFC’s education investment strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa; and managed IFC’s business development efforts in the Medtech sector in India including a proposed equity investment in an early-stage medical equipment manufacturer.
Prior to moving to Nairobi, Shayne worked with the Aga Khan Foundation in Cairo, Egypt and spent nearly six years in investment banking with CIBC World Markets and CCC Investment Banking in Toronto, Canada. During this time, he executed numerous M&A transactions and equity and debt financings for leading Canadian companies in telecom, media, technology and agriculture, including BCE, Shaw Communications, MTS, Richardson International and Parrish & Heimbecker.
Shayne earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.
